This 2 hour workshop is packed with content. Workshop facilitators guide attendees through practical education use cases. The workshop resources include a number of extension examples and resources that attendees can access at their own pace after the initial workshop. By attending this workshop you become part of the AI for Teachers in New Zealand network and we will continue the learning adventure together.
The workshop demonstrates the use of ChatGPT, Claude, Canva, NotebookLM, Perplexity, ElevenLabs, ImageFX, customised AI processes and builds a solid foundation for further tool exploration.
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
Practical explanations of AI terms and models and a customised glossary for teachers.
The basics of prompting and how to ask good questions and delegate tasks to AI.
How to use AI to conduct research and verify responses.
How to use AI to adopt curriculum changes and assessment.
Creating resources for the classroom. How to customise learning for your students, organisation, and community.
Ethics, Policy, Legal and other consideration for AI adoption in the classroom.
How to utilise accessibility features in AI, including translation and computer vision.
How to get started and bring your team on the journey.
WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?
This course is designed for teachers of all levels and backgrounds, and no prior knowledge of AI is required, our facilitators will support your learning from your starting point. Attendees have access to all workshop resources for 60 days and the opportunity for support via online communities.
